Woman Accused of Selling Prescription Drugs to Minors
In Ohio just this week, a woman was arrested for drug charges and taken to jail. It is said that Clerinda Vincent was charged of trafficking drugs to minors in her apartment building. After a search, police discovered that she was hiding hydrocodone pills in her home, and it is believed that she sold these drugs to minors at least on one occasion.
During their search, the police also discovered large amounts of cash, as well as a significant amount of hydrocodone as well. Hydrocodone is a narcotic that is prescribed to individuals dealing with different amounts of pain that can’t be covered with the average ibuprofen. While this is a prescribed medication, it is never meant for the common usage of any person, as it can be highly addictive.
If any person takes in too much of this drug, it can lead to toxins poisoning the liver and it may be fatal. In the state of Massachusetts, being accused of drug crimes is a serious offense. Depending on the level drug a person was selling, using, or manufacturing, determines the severity of the punishments if convicted. While it is uncertain as to the fate of this 50 year old woman, it is certain that she is in need of a skilled criminal defense lawyer.
